Fees may be paid with U.S. dollars, Papua New Guinean Kina, cashier/bank checks, and international credit cards (Visa or Mastercard).
An online payment option is available only for adult passport renewals. We do not accept personal checks.
If you intend to travel in the near future, please plan accordingly. Most countries in the region require at least six months’ validity in your passport. Processing for in-person passport renewal services generally takes two to three weeks. In an emergency, we can issue limited validity passports on the same day. Forms vary depending on which type of service for which you are applying. See the service-specific steps below for further information.

In order to pay your passport renewal fee online and send your application by physical mail or courier service, you must meet a number of requirements.
Adult Passport Renewal–In Person or Courier Drop-off
Make an appointment to renew your passport. For adult passport renewals, a courier or representative may deliver all your documents and payment to the embassy on your behalf; the applicant him/herself does not need to come to the embassy.
First Adult (Age 16+) Passport
For passport purposes, anyone age 16 and over is considered an adult; however, applicants age 16 or 17 must demonstrate parental awareness to apply for a passport.
Minor Passports–15 Years Old and Younger
Make an appointment at the Embassy to apply for a passport. Both parents and the child must attend the appointment, unless you meet a specific exemption.
Lost or Stolen Passports and Emergency Passports
If you reported the theft of your belongings to the local police, please bring a copy of the police report. If you must travel within the next two weeks, we may be able to print a same-day passport during an in-person appointment. Once your urgent travel is complete and within 12 months from the date of issuance, you may then exchange the emergency passport for a regular, full-validity passport at no additional cost.
Passport services are by appointment only (except for Adult Passport Renewal by mail). To make an appointment, please follow this link: https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=PTM&appcode=1
