This is a follow-up to provide additional details to our Monday, October 3 message regarding the provision of consular services in Solomon Islands.

The U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby is committed to providing consular services in Solomon Islands. A team of consular professionals will continue to provide periodic in-person services to U.S. citizens in Honiara – our next visit is tentatively planned for February 2023. During the visit, the team will provide notarization services and accept applications for passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad. Adult U.S. citizens in Solomon Islands can renew a passport by mail; please visit our website for details to determine if you qualify: https://pg.usembassy.gov/adult-passport-renewal-by-mail-with-online-fee-payment/.

Our consular section continues to offer appointments for visa applicants from Solomon Islands, and in 2022 our average wait time for an appointment was less than four days. Non-U.S. citizens who wish to apply for a visa to the United States should review the application information available on our website: https://pg.usembassy.gov/visa-application-step-by-step-instructions/.

The Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby is available via email (ConsularPortMoresby@state.gov) or telephone (+675-308-2100). Our website is https://pg.usembassy.gov.
