Message for U.S. Citizens: Consular Services in Port Vila, Vanuatu

We are pleased to announce our Consular Officer is tentatively scheduled to provide U.S. citizen services in Port Vila, Vanuatu, from July 6-8, 2022. Final confirmation of the trip and dates will come at a later time and is pending clarification of local COVID-19 restrictions and travel policies.

The Consular Officer will be able to provide the following services during the visit: applications for a U.S. passport, including renewals; applications for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad; notary services; voting by mail in U.S. elections; and selective service (draft) registration for U.S. citizen males age 18-26.

U.S. citizens must inform the Embassy in advance to request an appointment with the Consular officer. Please email us at ConsularPortMoresby@state.gov and include the following information:

  • Name and date of birth of each applicant applying for a service
  • Current or Expired passport number, if applicable
  • Type of service requested (passport, CRBA, CRBA+passport, notary, etc.)
  • If you would be unable to attend an appointment on July 6, 7, or 8, please identify which date would be unavailable for you.

We will confirm the date and time of your appointment later in June, pending final confirmation of the trip itself.
